Adult Bible Study
Sunday morning Adult Study continues in April in the Helen Hoffmeister Room with a discussion of the video lecture series, Great World Religions: Islam, taught by Professor John Esposito, Professor of Islamic Studies at Georgetown University. Pastor Roger will lead the discussion. Please note there will be no class on Easter Sunday
Men's Bible Study Fellowship continues to meet every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, from 7:45 - 9:00 AM in the church library. In addition to studying a Bible topic such as "feeding the five thousand and social minsitry", "the parable of talens", "the ungrateful steward", etc., we also spend some time in fellowship and prayer.

Faithful Disobedience
Sometimes to be faithful to God is to be disobedient to other authorities. In the messiness and ambiguity of life, we ask for God’s help in discerning the right thing to do.

Spiritual Retreat
You are invited to a spiritual retreat on Friday evening, May 1 through Saturday evening, May 2 at the Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Center Oregon, Illinois.
The theme of the Retreat is: “Reclaiming Our Lives: Attending to Our Souls in a Material World.” Pastor Roger will be the Retreat leader.
This is an opportunity to get away from your regular routine into God’s creation for a time of contemplation, study, prayer and fellowship. Activities will include personal reflection, sharing with others, shared meals, and a nature walk. We will be staying in the Retreat Center on the LOMC campus in modern motel-like rooms. The cost will be $86 per person, not including a meal each way. The cost may be reduced if more than 12 people participate.
